Governor Dayton announced this week his budget proposal to assist Minnesotan's with their premiums. His plan would reduce the cost of premiums for those that were ineligible for assistance through MNsure by 25% for 2017.
The GOP agrees that action needs to be taken, but their methods differ from Dayton's. Led by House Speaker Kurt Daudt, the proposed bill would also reduce costs by 25%, but after the first 3 months assistance would be limited to those that fall within certain income guidelines.
